Strange Light Lingering Over Infant's Crib

Question: Last night I checked my 3 month old son's monitor and noticed a bobbing, glowing ball of light
next to him in his crib. I went up there to see what it was and I could see nothing, but could still see it on the
monitor. I checked to make sure there was nothing on the monitor or video camera. I also checked my
other sons monitor to make sure that it wasn't there also. It wasn't of course. A few hours later it was still
there, except now it formed wispy-like arms and moved on top of my son. That's where it stayed the rest of
the night. I went to sleep, and when I woke up that morning, it wasn't there anymore. Could this have been a
spirit or his guardian spirit? We did just have a death in the family.
Answer: Without seeing the video or pics it is hard to make a determination, so I'll start by ruling out some
things. Anomalies resembling balls of light are common in video or photographs and can usually be easily
explained by dust, mist, or insects. Initially I was going to say it was probably an insect because of how you
described the movement. However, when you followed up with how it lingered all night and spread out, that
for me ruled out all of the above.
Was it a spirit? Again, hard for me to say. But COULD it be a spirit? Absolutely! Especially if the person
who recently passed away was someone close to you and/or your child. Many people report their loved
ones watching over them.
Last year I lost my mother to cancer. She died in her home, in her favorite bedroom with all of us around
her. The next day my sister was sitting on that bed with our niece Ella (who was 2 at the time). Ella kept
looking over in the corner and waving, then giggling. My sister asked what she was looking at but Ella
wasn't talking very well and just kept waving to the corner. My sister wondered if it could be our mom (Ella's
grandma) waving at her.
Months later, my niece was over at my mom's house with her friends, they were all outside. One of her
friends said she saw a pretty older lady in the window. My niece said it was probably just a reflection, but
her friend insisted it was not, and that the lady smiled at them. The friend had met my mother a few times
and said it looked like her.
There is always the possibility that what you saw is a spirit. It is also possible that it is a video anomaly.
One thing you might try is putting a digital recorder near your son's crib and turning it on when you put him
to bed. If there is something there, you might catch it on the recorder. A step further would be to sit in his
room as he is sleeping and ask questions while the recorder is going. Ask the "spirit" to speak loudly into
your device and tell it you just want to communicate.
