CASE 2004-11-ESSEXVILLE
This was a single mom who worked nights with 8 kids ranging from infant to 19 years old. We found
absolutely no evidence of paranormal activity. The activity had been triggered by a toddler's night terror
event where he woke up and claimed he saw a man walk behind the refrigerator. This event happened to
coincide with the oldest daughter moving out of the home (see The Psychology page).

CASE 2008-11-VANDERCOOK
Single mom living with her two boys reports numerous events, including voices, door banging, strange
lights, bed shaking, shadows, and more. Intriguing photo taken in house of mirror reflection (see in our
Sample Evidence page). We have had all types of clients and I have to say, this family has been so open and
welcoming to us, it was almost like doing an investigation for family.

CASE 2005-03-12-BANCROFT
This case involved a family that had moved out of their dream home due to the wife's fear of the paranormal
activity. The family had bought their dream home, started renovating, then started experiencing events. As
in the Essexville case, this situation involved a triggering event where the wife woke up and saw a figure of
a dark man standing over her bed (see The Psychology page). She soon began having dreams of someone
slaughtering her children. Subsequent reported events included ashes flying from the fireplace with no wind,
toys flying out of a child's play kitchen, shadows/figures, and lights being on when they were turned off.
We did get one EVP from this session, posted on our Sample Evidence page. One thing we try to reiterate to
families now is to take ownership of your home. This was a very sad situation.

We did this investigation for a friend. Reports included banging on the door, doors being opened when no
one was around to open, random cold spots, radio turning on/off by itself, and 'old time' music being heard
while fan was on. This residence had once been a senior care home. No evidence found at this residence
but we did catch a large dust orb in the living room.

This was another investigation for a friend. He owns a mobile home that he rents out. Most intriguing about
this case was three events nearly identical, experienced by three different people. The client was painting in
a laundry room when he felt something hit the back of his shoulder (he described it as like the end of a
broom stick). He turned around thinking someone had broken in but there was no one there. Months later
his uncle (to whom this event had not been mentioned) was in the same room and had a similar experience.
After we investigated, yet another person had the same experience in that room. The environment was
difficult to investigate in (no electric, and lots of external chatter) and we got no evidence. The story,
however, is very intriguing.

investigation was more intimate and one of the best we have been on. I'll reiterate what I said the first time
we did the Vandercook case: Great clients make all the difference. We used our new KII with the client
during an EVP session and got some very interesting results. Also got some sounds we couldn't explain and
one clip that validated a humming sound that one of the client's sons had been hearing.

This was a great case for debunking but unfortunately involved some tough experiences for the client. She
and her daughter began experiencing events in their duplex shortly after some stressful events in their lives.
I hope we were able to help them become more aware of possible causes for the things they experience.
We did suggest to the client that her events might be "poltergeist" activity - more telekenetic than ghostly.

This was an informal outing to a cemetery in Lenawee County, MI. We brought along five "newbies,"
including Jake Ruhl, who is now a junior member of CPI. Though we did not get any evidence, it was a
good experience and we had a couple of good debunking efforts.

This was a residential home in Jackson, MI. The owner reported strange bedtime activity and the final
outcome was quite surprising!

CASE 2011-03-12-HORTON (Click here for EVIDENCE)
This case took place at a residental apartment (in a house) out in the country. This apartment has a history
of events witnessed by several people, including the client's mother (who lived in the apartment several
years ago). The client reported banging on the door, whispers, and one striking event in which she and her
children left the apartment, locked the doors, came home 2 hours later to find the boys' room trashed -
blankets pulled from three beds (including a bunk bed), books and video games strewn across the floor,
and a mattress pulled from the closet. All of the curtains had been pulled back, bedroom doors opened, and
the lights turned on. The client even called the police - the doors to the apartment had been locked when
they came home, and no strange footprints were found. Bizarre!
